What is Ethical Taxidermy?

I don't hunt the animals in my art, just to make a profit off the final piece. I buy taxidermy animals from garage sales and auctions-pre stuffed, and sometimes not in great condition. 

If I hunted an animal just for you to make into art, would it be cheaper?

Absolutely not. Do not hunt animals just to make art. Art is peace, and love, and joy, and should not involve taking a new life. Reach out to me if you'd like to collab on already stuffed animals, or antlers. 

Can you take my taxidermy piece and turn it into a mythical creature?

Shipping/Refunds/Deposits/Cancellations:

I am a small one woman shop, each instance will be reviewed on a case by case basis. In summary: 

    Shipping: Please allow up to 2 weeks for an item to be packaged and mailed. Tracking numbers will be provided if purchased under your shipping options. 

   Refunds: Reviewed independently for each situation. Art is highly subjective, and refunds for "it's not quite my taste" will NOT be accepted. 

   Deposits: Deposits are NON-refundable, but if you ultimately decide to go in a different direction, the deposit amount can be applied to another purchase from my store, unless the custom art is so specific to you the buyer, and cannot be re-sold to another. 

    Cancellations: Cancellations will not be accepted if the art requested is nearing completion. This is up to me (KJ) to determine and evaluate if the art is substantially nearing completion and cannot be sold to another buyer either for personal or logistical reasons.
